Saturday, November 13, 2010
We recently found this 1939 Diamond T abandoned in the woods, and had to scoop it up. As you can tell it is in bad shape, it has been sitting for over 30 years. It now has a new lease on life and will be restored back to its former glory over the next few years.

Early '70s Kellison GT40 Kit Car Awaiting Restoration
This is an early '70s Kellison GT40 kit car. Supposedly, these were formed directly off the real 1966 Ford GT40 bodies. This particular car is on a 1959 Volkswagen Beetle frame, which at the time was really the only donor cars for these rear engined kit cars, besides the Chevrolet Corvair. This is the beetle from a previous post that was used for a donor.

1948 White Super Power Tractor With Sleeper Cab
This is a 1948 White Super Power wrecker. From what I've been told, this is the first year for the integrated sleeper cab and is a rare truck. The original engine was a gasoline flat head 6 cylinder. Plans are in place for restoration sometime in the spring of 2011, and will include a Cummins diesel donated from a Dodge Ram, and a fifth wheel in place of the wrecker setup. I can't wait to begin working on this truck!

Abandoned Marine Amphibious LVT
Monday, November 8, 2010
We discovered this LVT sitting in the woods near a military training area. There is not much left of it, most has gone to the scrap yard, I'm sure. The engine is a Continental Radial gasoline engine.

More Locomotives For Your Viewing Pleasure.
These locomotives are located in the same area as those in the post below. I'm not sure about the red one but the white and green one was used on the Aberdeen Dinner Train, and to pull freight along their route. As far as I know, they still use 9582 along with loaners from CSX.

Classic Locomotives And Rail Car Found Sitting
Saturday, November 6, 2010
These beauties were spotted on a road trip recently and we had to stop and look closer. I'm not sure what kind of locomotives these are (ACLO??), but they are definitely awesome machinery. The bottom photos are of the engine, and what I think is a supercharger, and turbo. If I could, I would buy these beauties and lay my own track and drive them around my land. As far as the rail car, I believe it was once used by the Aberdeen Carolina & Western Railroad for their dinner train, which departed from Aberdeen, N.C. at the Seaboard Railroad Station. If anyone can identify these locomotives please comment below.
